This is my APP Challenge that i was set. What i had to do was refresh my memory of how to use Adobe Premier Pro. The song i done my APP challenge on was Macklemore's 'Wings'. To begin with all we had was the audio clip of the song and the footage from the video, without the audio on it. The idea here was to try and reconstruct the music video without looking at the actually video Macklemore released.
To begin with i added the audio, and i then searched for the clips on footage w
that i felt would best fit that section of the audio. luckily the begin of the audio is someone walking and you can hear the footsteps. What i done was try and find clips that had someone walking to see if they would go with the footsteps. I found the clips that went along with the footstep being played from the audio and they were a perfect match
My next idea was to try and familiarise myself with the lip singing. Including lip reading was part of the challenge so i took to trying to find the clips that had lip reading so i could try and see where they linked in with the audio. This was quite difficult to try ad find the clips and they had no audio. This meant that you had to pay very close attention to the lips to try and work out what they were saying. After locating the correct clips for the lip sing, i had to try and make sure that the lip singing and the audio went together otherwise it wouldn't look right.
I had to zoom into the timeline of where the clips and audio were and this is a skill that i think I've gain from this APP Challenge because after linking both the lip singing and the audio you find it much easier as you go on because you know exactly what you have to do to make sure that those two are linked in a way that looks professional.
In the above picture is what it looks like when i didn't zoom into the timeline. Which made it very difficult to try and add the clips and the music together. The picture to the right shows how different the timeline is once zoomed in it makes it much easier to work because you can see the milliseconds on the bar, which makes the editing much more effective and efficient
I feel like i have got back to grips with Premier Pro again after this challenge all the little crucial bits had forgotten i now remember then clearly.
