Costume is an important part to any production and an element of mise en sene that helps to enhance the production at a greater level. I have had thoughts on what exactly I wanted my characters to wear, but I payed the most attention to the second female who will be in the hotel room. Finding a suitable piece of clothing that she was comfortable to perform in was something I aimed to do, I spoke to her to find out what she felt most comfortable in and she mentioned anything that wouldn't be too revealing towards the audience.
Titus Goremucheche (Trey Songz) Costume wear
For the character of Trey i aim to have him wearing all black except for the shoes, when he turns up to the hotel. the reason i went for the black clothing wear is that it is now a norm for and especially male black singers to be wearing black clothes. this type of fashion is trending and i want to keep to that trend.
In terms of the type of clothing trey will wear, it'll be a long sleeve black top with black jeans. The reason behind this is "All Black Everything" is is fashion at the moment and i know that Trey songs also loves wearing black clothes. I have identified in several of his music videos and on interviews that the dominant colour he always wears is black or dark colours.

Theres two types of shoes that Trey could possibly wear, which are Nike Airforces 1 which are a popular brand of shoes and also Nike Jordan's Flights.
Accessories will be earrings and a gold chain.
These are the earrings that Trey will be wearing what i like about these is that they are small not to flashy, they sit comfortably on the ear lobe and they are diamonds which sparkle. As the video will be black and white, these earrings will stick out a lot especially on the dark skin complexion.
To the right will be the gold chain that Trey will wear. A lot of black celebrity singers tend to have gold chains around their necks. It shows wealth. The is something i also want to show in my video again keeping it accurate to real music videos as possible. this chain is fairly thick and has a lot of weight to it which i like. Same with the earrings due to the colour of the chain it will stand out more in black and white of the dark skin complexion.

These are the clothing options that i picked out for Brittany to wear. These are the clothes that she would wear when we would be filming the flashback scenes with her and i. i went for the simple wear that girls would wear when they would be at home relaxing.
these are the joggers that she would wear, i went for joggers instead of jeans because it s more comfortable for Brittany and it also sets the chilled, fun mood that i want to achieve with the flashbacks.
same with the joggers these two pieces of clothing were to achieve that 'chilled, fun' mood that i wanted to achieve. Again these are also clothes that girls would wear when they would be at home relaxing

I then took to searching places wear I could try and find lingerie wear. My first place was ASOS as I trusted that place and I new that they offered a range of clothes there at low prices as well. I found a range of wear that was suitable and I decided to stay there to find on for her. Picked out a whole bunch for her as you can see below, i wanted to find one that had a bit off length to it. I didn't focus on the colour as much as my music video will be in black and white. So i focused more on the design of the lingerie.

She is quite slim, which made me start more to a lingerie that flowed outwards as opposed to the ones that are tight on the body. Although i did manage to find that was quite tight on the body and wasn't too reviling. These are the final choices i had gone with and which i felt Hannah would feel most comfortable in.

On the right here is the "Deep V Front satin & Lace Ramper". What i liked the most about this was that "V shape it gave, it allows the individual wearing to cover the necessary areas that need to be cover but reveal the length of the legs more. Its tight towards the top half then flares out a bit more towards the bottom which is very nice. What i dislike the most of this however is that its looks like two halves with the stitching in the middle, if it looked like on piece of clothing i think it would have been much better.
The "Rosalyn Lace Slip" stood out the most for me and it was the one i liked the most, the free flow it has and the design with the bow is a nice touch to it as well the length is just around boarder line of where i want it to be. As it is quite see-through if i was to use this my camera angles would have to be appropriate and reveal too much of Hannah. This one is a contender to be on of the pieces of clothes i pick.The "Charlotte Lace & Satin Slip" on the right is the one i mentioned when i spoke about having a tight pice of clothing on Hannah, it comes in a two piece with the skirt and the top, what i like is the length of the skirt and how tight it is on the lower body part, it allows the individual wearing it to show more of their figure, which is always good. I also like the design and the bottom on the skirt and the top. It appears to be see through and the pattern on it has been designed well and intricately.
Final Decision
The final decision goes to the "Rosalyn Lace Slip" really liked this one and so did Hannah which made things much easier as we were both at an agreement with each other. I do understand it is quite revealing but however within the music industry and music videos that Trey produces woman tend to wear clothing such as that, i want to get as accurate as possible without going overboard otherwise it wont look of feel like a music video that Trey Songs would have.
