Storyboard- Animatics

Editing my animatic using Premier Pro

To begin with all i was going to do for my story board was draw pictures and take a photo of the whole storyboard and upload it. However i found that making my storyboard an animatic would be prove to be better and give a more clear idea of what my intentions for my music video. To do this i used a software i was very familiar with called Premier Pro. This is the software i am going to use to make my edits to my music video.

To begin with i thought about drawing the pictures i was going to put into my animatic storyboard instead i looked at an online storyboard which provided me with characters location and much more. It gave me the benefit of clear pictures and a bit more accurate idea. Also it was quick to do and meant that i could create the storyboard and then move on.

As i have already used premier pro for other tasks in the past i feel like i a better understanding of how to use it. For my music video they are elements of Science Fiction in it towards to the end, so learning how to do that has given me more knowledge.

The way my chosen song starts like is with a ringing tone of a phone which is how i am going to start my. What i intend on doing is to fade in the phone into the shot. Like this
doing this is very easy and simple to do all i had to do was go on the left had side and click on video transitions and from there i was able to select the during of how long i wanted the fade in to be. This very simple to do and is something i intend to use for my first shot because Treys target audience already know that he loves his women and is some what of a cheater so if they see the phone ring sayings its his girlfriend calling but in the background you can hear that he is with another woman that will reassure the listener that they are in for a treat with one of Treys beautifully written songs.

From hear onwards i decided to reduce the amount of effects and titles and keep it simple until the final effect towards the end where the girl will disappear. However i wasn't to suer on whether to put a title in to begin with but after watching a few of Trey Songz songs i worked out that he had the name of the sings title in his videos. In order to make my target audience see that it is one of Trey Songz music video i had to include a tattle at least. Which i did towards the beginning of the storyboard.

As i was very familiar with Premier Pro from other projects i found making a title to be very easy but very fun to do as well because you get to play around with the titles to sings what arrangement would look the best. However as the song i have chosen to do is from an album i felt that  following the same font and style with the album would show a connection.

Also I find having an edited animatic of what my intentions are for my music video will help give me and overview of what I am going to do and whether or not I like it. Also if they are any additions or changes needed to happen.
