An issue that occur during the shooting which has affected the aim and the overall out look of my music video, is the reliability of one of my characters.
Brittany who was supposed to play the girlfriend of the character of Trey Songz girlfriend was unreliable after the first shoot. On countless occasion i would inform her about the days and times which i would have needed to film. i knew she had a job that she had to go to during the week. Thereforei decided that i would work around her schedule and plan to film on the weekends. She agreed with this and was supportive. The first shoot went smoothly and we were abel top cap-ture all the first few scenes that she was needed in. We were all looking forward to the next meetings. i informed about the next shoot and i asked her in advance whether or not she would be available and she agreed and said she was. i told her about the time and date and the location. We all agreed, a day or so before the shoot i reminded her about the shoot and she mentioned that she couldn't do it because her "family were away" and came back the day of the shoot. I mentioned to her that it would be fine and rescheduling was not a problem. She then suggested Sunday the 12th of april and i agreed to the day. On morning of the day she said she was unable to come to the shoot because she had "family round for dinner". We had scheduled the shoot to be mid day so i didn't think there would be a problem. This problem then meant that i had to push my plans i had for the week even further. We scheduled for the next Sunday and she agreed to that as well. This time i reassured myself that if she cancelled i would change my idea completely on what i wanted the end to look like i couldn't afford anymore false promises. When it cmd to the Friday before the Sunday i asked if she was available on Sunday and she mentioned that she was at "her dads". That then made me scrap her from the scenes and think of a completely new ending. I stilled filmed on the Sunday and the shots were better than expected. Nevertheless i was still sad because my initial idea had tarnished but however the shots i filmed on that Sunday were good enough and possibly better than the ones i would have initially shot.
What would i do differently next time?
Next time will make sure that pick out my candidates effectively and pick ones that have an interest in the music video. This way i would be able to get more done quicker and if any problems occurred I'd know that they would be willing to help perfect the shots and would be up to re-film if needs be
